Return Policy

McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. will work with customers to accept the return of material for credit under the following conditions:

We want you to be fully satisfied with your order from McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc.. If you are not satisfied with your order, you may return it within 15 days of delivery for a full refund, less the delivery or shipping costs and restocking fee of 30%. The items must be in good condition, in the original packaging and you must have all paperwork related to this order. For NO REASON will material be accepted after 15 days. We will not accept returns on moldings or accessories.

A. All returned products must:

  • Be received by McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. in good resalable condition
  • Have been purchased from McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc.
  • Be in the manufacturer’s original packaging and in resalable condition
  • Be a current McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. stock item and not have been:
    • A “special order and/or non-stock”** item….”special orders” may not be returned
    • Discontinued by the manufacturer either before or after sale to the customer
  • Pass inspection upon receipt by McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc.
  • Not be “cut-to-length or otherwise modified to customer specification
  • Not be a clearance item
  • Not be a perishable item. Return of perishable item’s will be subject to review based upon the product’s origin and shelf life
  • If you refuse an order, you will be charged the original freight cost, return freight costs, and any restocking fees that might apply. Normal restocking fees are 30% of the order.

**Special orders and non-stocks are materials that neither McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. regularly carry in inventory. These items are ordered for the customer by McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. from the manufacturer upon a specific request from the customer. McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc.’s manufacturers generally do not allow McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. to return these items to the manufacturer.

B. Only current stock items of reasonable quantity will be considered for return and credit


C. Shortages and Claims:

  • Any concealed damage, defective material or shortages must be reported with 48 hours of receipt.
  • Freight damages or shortages must be reported to the carrier upon receipt of product.  All packaging materials must be saved as it maybe a requirement of the carrier for processing a claim.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive damaged or defective items, contact McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. customer service at 1-800-268-0942. Please supply your order number, item number and tracking number from your confirmation email. Please supply your email address and phone number. McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. will make every reasonable effort to replace the damaged or defective items provided that it was noted on the delivery confirmation paperwork you signed at time of delivery. No claims will be made for damaged material without such notes made.
