Authentic Wood Grain and Superior Adhesion
In a fast-paced production environment, efficiency and reliability are paramount. Our pre-glued veneer tape is engineered to save time by eliminating the need for separate contact cements or complex gluing machinery. The pre-applied hot-melt adhesive is designed to melt quickly and bond deeply into the substrate, creating a permanent seal that resists peeling and moisture infiltration. By using real wood veneers, we ensure that your finished edges can be sanded, stained, and lacquered just like solid timber, providing a consistent and professional appearance across your entire project.
Our edge tape is manufactured from premium wood species, ensuring that the grain patterns and color tones integrate naturally with your hardwood or veneered panels. Because it is real wood, it accepts stains and topcoats in the same manner as the rest of your build, eliminating the color matching issues often associated with PVC or melamine alternatives. This authenticity is essential for high-end cabinetry where the client expects a uniform and luxurious finish. By using real veneer edging, you elevate the perceived value of your panel-based projects and maintain the high standards of traditional woodworking.
Explore the CollectionThe hot-melt adhesive used on our pre-glued tape is formulated to provide a high-strength bond with minimal effort. It can be applied using a standard household iron or a dedicated edgebanding machine, making it a versatile tool for both on-site repairs and shop production. Once the adhesive cools, it creates a rigid bond that holds the veneer firmly in place, even around tight corners or on heavy-use surfaces. This reliable adhesion ensures that the edges of your cabinets remain protected from chipping and wear, preserving the professional quality of your work for years to come.
Explore the CollectionOne of the greatest advantages of our wood veneer tape is its ease of use during the final finishing stages. The thin profile allows for easy trimming with a standard edge trimmer or a sharp chisel, leaving a crisp, clean corner that requires very little sanding. Because the tape is flexible and forgiving, it can be applied to curved edges and intricate profiles with ease. This versatility allows your shop to produce complex designs with a consistent wood finish, streamlining your workflow and ensuring that every edge, no matter how small, receives the same professional attention to detail.

Proper application and finishing are key to a long-lasting veneer edge. We have compiled these frequently asked questions to help you achieve the best possible results with our pre-glued wood tape.
For most hot-melt adhesives, a medium-high heat setting on a standard iron is sufficient to melt the glue without scorching the wood veneer. It is important to move the iron steadily along the edge and follow immediately with a wooden pressure block to ensure the veneer is pressed firmly into the adhesive and the substrate while it is still hot.
Yes, wood veneer edge tape is quite flexible and can be applied to both internal and external curves. For tighter radii, you may find it helpful to slightly pre-heat the wood to make it more pliable. Once the tape is adhered and the glue has set, it will hold the shape of the curve perfectly, providing a continuous wood look on complex panel designs.
The edge of your panel should be clean, dry, and free of dust. While the adhesive is designed to bond to standard raw edges, a light sanding to remove any loose fibers or significant saw marks will provide a smoother surface for the glue to grab onto. Ensuring the edge is square and flat will also result in a cleaner, more professional-looking corner after trimming.
One of the benefits of heat-activated adhesive is that it can be softened again if necessary. If you notice a misalignment shortly after application, you can simply re-apply heat to the area, reposition the tape, and press it back down. However, this should be done sparingly, as excessive re-heating can eventually dry out the adhesive and weaken the bond.
Since our tape is made from real wood veneer, it is compatible with most standard woodworking stains, including water-based, oil-based, and alcohol-based products. We always recommend performing a test on a scrap piece of edged material to ensure the stain absorption matches your main panels and to verify that the moisture in the stain does not affect the adhesive bond.
