Industrial Strength and Thermal Stability

The Professional Choice for Reliable and Efficient Production Workflows

Achieving a nearly invisible glue line while maintaining maximum adhesion requires a glue that flows consistently and sets with precision. We provide hot melt adhesives that are formulated to prevent charring and buildup in your machinery, reducing maintenance downtime and increasing your shop's overall throughput. Our adhesives are selected for their excellent wetting properties, allowing them to penetrate deep into the pores of plywood, MDF, and particleboard for a mechanical bond that stands up to years of daily use. Partnering with us for your consumable needs ensures that your hardware and finishing materials are backed by the highest quality chemical bonding agents available to the trade.

Machine Compatibility

Optimized for Automatic and Portable Edgebanding Equipment

Every edgebander has specific requirements for melting temperatures and feed speeds, and our range of hot melt adhesives reflects this diversity. We offer various formulations, including pellets for large glue pots and cartridges for specialized application systems, ensuring that your equipment operates at peak efficiency. These glues are designed to melt evenly without creating smoke or residue, maintaining the integrity of your machine's application rollers and heaters. By using an adhesive that matches your machine's technical specifications, you achieve a more consistent application and a superior bond that reflects the professional standards of your manufacturing process.

Bond Strength

Engineered to Resist Delamination in Demanding Environments

The primary function of a hot melt adhesive is to create a bond that is stronger than the materials it connects. Our professional adhesives are engineered with high thermal resistance and excellent flexibility, allowing the edge banding to expand and contract with the panel without cracking or pulling away. This is particularly important for cabinetry installed in kitchens and bathrooms where humidity and temperature changes are frequent. Our adhesives create a rigid yet resilient layer that seals the raw edge of the board, protecting the core from moisture infiltration and ensuring that your furniture remains structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing for its entire lifespan.

Clean Finishing

Achieving Invisible Glue Lines for High-End Projects

For high-end custom cabinetry, a visible or messy glue line can detract from the overall quality of the build. Our hot melt adhesives are available in various colors, including transparent, white, and natural, to perfectly match the panel decors and edge banding you are using. The low-viscosity formulas allow for a thin, even application that minimizes squeeze-out and reduces the need for manual scraping and cleanup after the panel leaves the machine. This focus on clean finishing helps your shop produce crisp, seamless edges that give your work the look of solid wood or high-grade laminate, enhancing the value of your finished products.

Technical Guidance for Hot Melt Adhesive Selection

Proper adhesive management is key to maintaining machine health and bond quality. We have compiled these frequently asked questions to help trade professionals optimize their gluing process for better results and less waste.

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is the most common adhesive used in the trade due to its ease of use and ability to be reheated. PUR (Polyurethane) is a moisture-curing adhesive that creates a much stronger, heat-resistant, and waterproof bond once it has fully cured. While PUR requires specialized equipment to prevent it from curing in the glue pot, it is the preferred choice for high-end projects in damp or high-heat environments like commercial kitchens.

The ideal melting temperature depends on the specific adhesive formulation and the speed of your edgebander. Standard high-temperature glues typically operate between 190°C and 210°C, while low-temperature glues for portable machines or thin PVC may operate around 130°C to 150°C. Always refer to the technical data sheet for your specific glue to ensure it is within the correct range for both the adhesive and your edgebanding material.

Charring occurs when adhesive is left in the glue pot at high temperatures for extended periods without being used. To prevent this, it is best to only add as much glue as you need for the current production run and to lower the temperature of the glue pot during breaks or downtime. Regularly cleaning the glue pot and rollers with a professional cleaning agent will also remove old, burnt residue that can contaminate new glue.

Most high-quality, high-temperature hot melt adhesives are versatile enough to bond PVC, ABS, melamine, and real wood veneer to various wood-based substrates. However, some specialized materials like high-gloss acrylic or very thick wood strips may require adhesives with specific open times or higher tack. Checking the compatibility of your adhesive with your most-used materials will ensure a consistent bond across your entire product line.

Using a color-matched adhesive is the most effective way to hide the glue line. We provide dark brown or black adhesives specifically for use with walnut, espresso, or black melamine panels. Additionally, ensuring your machine's pressure rollers and scraping units are correctly adjusted will help press the banding tight to the board and remove any excess glue that could highlight the seam.
