High-Gloss and Super-Matte PVC Edgebanding FAQ

Common questions on gloss and matte finish edgebanding.

High-gloss PVC is manufactured with a reflective surface finish specifically to match high-gloss cabinet panels, where standard PVC has a lower-sheen finish that can look duller by comparison.

Matte finishes can show fingerprints and light scuffs more visibly than gloss, though the material itself isn't inherently less durable — normal handling care applies.

Our current high-gloss and super-matte selection runs primarily at 1mm gauge, in 7/8" and 15/16" widths.
