Maple is prized for its light, creamy colour and fine, even texture. Its subtle figure and smooth surface make it one of the most versatile hardwoods, equally suited for traditional and contemporary designs. Maple’s strength and workability ensure dependable performance in cabinetry, furniture, and architectural applications.
Rotary cut veneer is sliced in a continuous sheet from the log, producing broad, sweeping grain patterns with bold, dramatic movement. This method showcases the full character of the wood and is often chosen for projects that call for a lively, decorative surface.
The CW/2W grade indicates a C-grade face veneer and a Grade 2 back veneer, both in White Maple. C-Grade veneer permits more visible sanding marks or filled defects that do not impair strength or serviceability. While less refined than higher grades, it remains structurally sound and functional. The Grade 2 back veneer is approved for sound surfaces with all openings repaired, ensuring stability and integrity while providing reliable backing for decorative face veneers. The “W” indicates White Maple, selected for its lighter, more uniform colour, on both face and back.
These panels are best suited for secondary, less visible applications where cost efficiency and structural integrity are the priority.
Pair with matching edgebanding to complete the project.
All Columbia Forest Products are made with PureBond® NAUF technology. The soy-based resin emits no additional off-gassing during the manufacturing process.
